Devils For Sure !!!

"Hail! Hail! The Red Devils are here "

What a season it has been for the Red Devils so far on top of premiership with Chelsea trying to catch up with them, in the quarter finals of the Champions League, due for a replay against Boro in the FA Cup which is coming up on Monday.Amazing it has been.Having not been in touch with football for almost three years(thanx to the bloody stbs), I find it amazing to see my favourite club on top of the Premiership ,though they managed to get into the top 4 in the past 3 years. They are the Best.

Lets start off with the Premiership, they had an awesome start to the Premiership blowing Fulham away 5-1.That was beginning of the success story.right from then they have managed to win/draw almost all games except for few unlucky ones , like where they were handed with a double loss againt bloody rivals Arsenal(both home and away) and also the most unexpected loss against West Ham under then the new coach Alan Curbishley who has had a very bad Win % against the Red Devils(and currently West Ham is trying hard to keep its place in the Premiership). That win against the Devils was a stroke of luck for the Hammers since then the Devils have maintained their momentum both in England as well as in Europe. Some of the mathces which took my breath away were those against Fulham and Liverpool away from home in the Premiership and also the match against Benefica in the Champion's League.

The match against Fulham away from home just showed the class of the team and also the ability of not cracking under pressure. In the dying seconds of the match, it was this guy Cristiano Ronaldo with a sudden burst of energy running right from the half-line and finishing was just great.
Though he is not much popular amongst my friends because if his extraordinary ability to get fouls(i meant diving) ,he must be known for his crosses, his cool penalty finishes and not to forget his sprints across the field. That was one hell of a match.

The next best match was against Liverpool away from home.Liverpool though they were not in the title race for the first half of the season, they gained momentum and are now breathing fire, unbeaten at home in the premiership since Jan 07, was a pain in the arse for the Devils for most of the match. For it had not been Van der Saar and the wall of Manchester United, Liverpool would have got them by the neck.It was 0-0 till 90 minutes, and then in the injury time comes the winner from John O'Shea a superb goal with some help from Cristiano and also from Saha who blocked off Reina(Liverpool's GK).

O'Shea was known for the wrong reasons last time when United lost at Liverpool - he actually hit an own goal.Forget the past.

Against Benefica in the Champion's League was a do or die match for the Devils. They had lost their previous two matches against Celtic and FC Copenhagen away from home.Last time United failed to qualify for the Knockout stages, they were in the same kind of pressure as they were in last year.benefica have been known for knocking out Manchester United in the CL.But this time it was not the case. The Devils won 3-1 thanks to the goals from Vidic - the latest defending sensation, Giggs and Saha.

The FA Cup has been more or less a rough terrain for the Devils but they have managed to win each of their rounds without any fuss. They are yet to face a replacy against Boro on Monday at Old Trafford.Hope the Devils win.

Chelsea have been chasing hard, really hard for the itle.United have enjoyed that and also have silenced the critics many a time.Although the average age of the team might not be a good sign, they have played some extraordinary football rather I would put it this way, they have played some Ultimate Football.

What the hell do we care?
All we know is there's gonna be a show,
And the famous Manchester United will be there
